LONDON EVENT & EXHIBITION
The London public facing event and exhibition is a one-day event articulated in (i) a public engagement event with keynote speakers from a range of academics, artists and stakeholders, (ii) parallel workshops with artists, industry (for instance menopause champions in workplaces) and third sector stakeholders and (iii) an exhibition displaying the comic strips and the artivism artefacts. The exhibition will be available for two weeks after the opening event taking place on 9th October 2025. Both the event and the exhibition will take place at the iconic site of the University of Greenwich campus.
Menopause Artivism in the UK, Sweden and India
Public Event & Exhibition – University of Greenwich
You are warmly invited to a public event and exhibition at the University of Greenwich
exploring how creative practices and activism are reshaping how we think about menopause,
gendered ageing, and social justice. Part of the international project Menopause Artivism in
the UK, Sweden and India, this one-day event brings together artists, academics, workplace
advocates, and third sector voices to explore how art can challenge stigma, amplify
marginalised experiences, and build transnational solidarity.
The day will feature:
• Keynote talks from leading researchers, artists, and grassroots organisers
• Hands-on workshops with artivists, industry professionals (including menopause champions
in the workplace), and civil society groups
• An exhibition of comic strips, artivist artefacts co-created with women across three
countries, podcasts and additional artwork by UK based artists including short films.
The exhibition will remain open for two weeks following the event, offering an opportunity
for broader public engagement with these powerful visual narratives.
Join us to explore how art and activism intersect to transform public conversations about
menopause—across borders, generations, and communities.
